As part of the Berlin Week at Expo Dubai, 14 startups from Berlin had the chance to pitch their innovative solutions in the field of Smart City, Fintech and Health-IT to a panel of Dubai and Berlin based business representatives inside the German Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Panel members for the pitch competition were Abdul Baset Al Janahi (CEO of Dubai SME), Dr. Stefan Franzke (CEO of Berlin Partner for Business and Technology), Arif Al Alawi (CEO of Dubai Cultiv8), Sarah Bacon (Astrolabs Programs Director) and Cem Ergün-Müller (Founder of Startupnight).

As a highlight of Startupnight Dubai the Berlin Startup Delegation networked with local business representatives on the viewing deck of the Palace Downtown Dubai in the evening were many valuable business contacts have been made.

Part of the evening event was the Berlin Partner Talk “Keep it clean! Sustainability within international context” were Christian Gräff from Smart Living and Health Center, Anna-Franziska Michel from yoona.ai, Alexander Gerfer from the Würth Elektronik eiSos Gruppe and Dr. Stefan Franzke spoke about the important subject of sustainability in international companies.
